Questions regarding tryout and help with bat

I have a tryout with the St Louis Sting next week and was wondering if anyone knew what to expect. Also I would appreciate some suggestions on a good highschool bat. I would like to spend less than 300. Also what would be a good length on the bat, i am 6ft and 155.
