OK along the same lines. I've got a 15 yr.old Freshamn that is 6'3, 205 lb. RHP. Every time he pitches we get asked how fast does he pitch. Dad and coaches are amazed that we have no idea, we tell them we have never put a gun on him. Interestingly this past saturday we heard our son pitches 85 miles per hour consistently. We told the dad that told us thank you and we just giggled all the way to the car. The parents don't even have to be part of the mix and the fish tales keep a growing. Bet he is hitting 90 by next fall according to the rumors. Our decision that we would not gun him until the end of his sophomore year was made to leave pressure off of him. We knew he could pitch, I guess we are wrong in waiting, but ya gotta love the stories
Based on a small sampling of empirical data,
when a Stalker reading shows 89-90,
the Jugs (when on C) reads 86-87
and the Decateur reads 82-83.

Stalker have more consistent readings
than the fluctuations observed from the inconsistent (and aging) Jugs Gun.
Decateur readings are more consistent than Stalker when tuned to 60 with pitch fork!

Other than the baseball movies in the early-mid-1990's, rarely do you see the RayGun, anymore.

Due to price advantages, Jugs Radar may be observed from time to time, yet the newbies, bird dogs and associates will be seen using the newer (darker) Stalker (as opposed to the 'white' Stalker).

Regards

ps. At most MLB Parks, AAA, and some AA the readings are typically +2 from what is observed
on a hand-held Stalker. (Why? It sells tickets!)
