Well they return all there starting position players but one and 2 of the 3 weekend pitchers(Buttler,Petterson).They should be better in all areas as a team and deeper in pitching especially.I think they have a real shot at a Big South championship but as we all know they play on the field not on paper.

I understand Winthrop lost a lot of their starters, and starting pitching.

Coach Rac is a winner. The SS needs to be healthy. They return a lot. But COASTAL is always in the way...

I agree about Coach Rac! Didn’t they lose all of their starting weekend pitchers, catcher ( through graduation and transfers?)

Look for freshman Josh Gardiner to step right into the starting lineup this year and be a big spark for that team as it continues to move up the Big South standings.

Radford's webpage lists Chesapeake native Eddie Butler as their staff Ace. He returns as a Junior this year.

Radford lost the sunday guy(Bowling)and a catcher (Lamas)but Radford rotated 3 catchers and 2 are back.And Midlo your right about Gardiner and look for big things from the brookville kid Jeff Maxwell.

Gardiner is one of those guys who produces in his own right, but does so much more than that. He plays so hard all the time that frankly anyone on the field who's not giving their total effort has to feel embarrassed. The result is that everyone around him ups their game.

Grinders, scrappers, whatever you want to call them, this is the attitude Radford is building and it foretells a lot of winning.

I saw Josh play last year. Beast! Great kid, a natural leader. He's a player you want on your team. They should be fun to watch this year.
