So, you get that feeling those 6 weeks your kid doesn't have a baseball game, like you are forgetting to do something when you get home from work.

You take the time and clean out the back of the SUV. You take all the chairs, coolers, bags of toys and coloring books for the young one, umbrella and other non esential items out, knowing you will need to put them back in one by one once the play begins again.

You show up for the first fall baseball game, sitting in anticipation like a crack addict sitting in front of his dealers house. Sure, there are a few clouds, but the weather says it will move east of you, no worries.

When you feel a few rain drops you don't worry because the sky is blue directly above the field and when the umps stop the game for 15 minutes to let the showers pass, you take the time to catch up with parents you haven't seen all summer in the confines of the overhang by the concession stand.

Play resumes and all is well with the world, except for that BIG old black cloud moving in fast. Next thing you know the real thing starts; wind, lightning, heavy cold rain.....the end to the beginning.

We need the rain, but sheesh, the crack addict needs his fix also. Big Grin
