Games every day this week including Saturday and Sunday to make up for what we've had rained out so far. Looks like a couple of the make-ups will be lost today and tomorrow as well. He's missing Legion try-outs next weekend due to make-ups, don't know if the Legion coach will take that into consideration or not. ENOUGH!
20dad, send the bus to our neck of the woods. We may be evacuating two of evry critter if the rain doesn't stop.

Took a ride to Nashua North. Fields are wet but only the area designed as a flood plain is holding water. Guessing Nashua South is okay since its been opened as a shelter for those who may be evacuated. So far, only one Nashua neighborhood is being evac'd but the Merrimack River isn't expected to crest until tomorrow.

For those on the outside looking in, Most of NH, Eastern Mass, and southern Maine is in a state of emergency. Hundreds of roads are out, schools are closed, homes and businesses are taking on water, and more water is in the forecast.

To think, yesterday I was wondering if I'd be able to get out of work in time for today's game. Today, I'm wondering if we'll have to evacuate our neighborhood.

NHFundamentalsDad, if you're out there, heard your neck of the woods is dealing with evacuations, too. All okay in the Carr household?
Hi Kmom,

Sory I haven't been on in a few days. We are doing alright here, just haveing to keep a good eye on the sump pumps. Yes the have been some evacuations here in the seacoast, some voluntary, some not.

No probelms that severe here at the house for us, just all the issues that having the low yard in the neighborhood and a very high water table can create.

It been a major inconvience for us We are havign to use bottled water for drinking), but
its not bad at all compared to what some people here are dealing with. Deb has been home for the last 2 days, Barrington Middle School was being used a shelter.

Matt has a teammate from both basketball & baseball in Newmarket. Their main street was a raging river yesterday. We dont know exactly where in the town they live, but we hope that their home has avoided all the major flooding.

One of his American Legion teammates lives in Milton. They were fearing a dam collapse up there the last couple of days.

I work down in Beverly, MA. I tried to go in this morning, knowing the only way i could get there was to go down 95 to 128 North. Got down the 95/128 interchange, but that was it. after 45 minutes of going nowhere, i managed to get off and just head back up 95 to home. So...I worked out of the house today.

We were hoping that things were not too bad for you and your family. The news was primarily focused on the major areas, so we figured perhaps things were overly difficult for ya.

From the baseball side of things, I think a lot of teams in the state this year will have a hard time getting all the games in. We are going to try to make up a game on Thursday, but I honestly have no idea if the field will be ready. It drains very well, but everything over here is super-saturated. We will need a warm & very windy day tomorrow to even have a chance.

I took Matt to HRUSA to get some work in on Monday, and we ran in to a couple of the Somersworth players. They still have half of the games (9) to play in about a week and a half now.

I was hoping to meet up with you in Exeter and see your son throw, but doesnt look like that is very likely now. Let me know if you have any other games over here.

Well, gotta go back down stairs and check the pumps again.

Stay Dry, and Good Luck When you get back on the field!
