They just built a brand new field that's supposed to be really nice. A ton of talent on the team. Won the tournament last year and made it into Regionals. Had a friend play for them and didn't like the coach but I think that was more from lack of playing time then just disliking him. They're a top ODAC team. Campus seemed pretty old to me when I visited and I didn't like the way it was laid out but that's just me
My school played them last year. Were a solid squad, and apparently they really stepped their game up at the end of the season and won their conference tourney, giving them the automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.

Haven't been to the school, but I can tell you the players were really enthusiastic (stood out to us compared to other teams) and seemed to me to be very well coached.
Team is very well coached. They are among the top 3 teams in the ODAC every year. Travis Beazley who was their pitching coach played for the Boston Red Sox minor league system as a drafted player and they got a new field last year that is gorgeous. Also they have a new All-American 1B this year by last name Walton.
We (NCWC) play them almost every year and they put on a quality team on the field. As far as the campus, they are located in Ashland, VA which is not very far from Richmond, VA. Area is beautiful and the atmosphere for baseball is great. Only draw back to me was that they are only a Liberal Arts school, nothing fancy as far as academics.
Amen. Coach Ray Hedrick is a gem, a great guy that just loves the game and exudes enthusiasm. If you love baseball, then you love this guy. My sons went to CNU and played against them for 6 years and they always play good solid baseball, well schooled in the little things.

I'm a huge fan of CNU's coach and program but setting that bias aside, and taking CNU out of the picture, it's one of my favorite programs anywhere. Beautiful school, really nice new facility.
