Loved the way Maddux came in there to settle down Feliz not by yelling or showing lack of confidence but by building the kid's confidence by placing his arm on his shoulder and seemingly telling him you're our guy. This is going to pay dividends later in the playoffs as the kid's body language completely changed. Kudo's to the experienced Molina giving him a pep talk also.
I agree with KG......way overmanaged Saturday. Oliver got us out of the 7th. O'Day should have pitched 8th and Feliz the 9th and we are playing the Yankees right now. IMHO

Yesterday, if Cruz calls Kinsler off early in the game, I think that game might have gone differently. Funny how one play sets the tone for a game.

Bottom line, if 2 3 4 don't hit tomorrow we are done. Doesn't matter who's on the bump.
Did it look like Nolan had tears in his eyes last night when they got the final out? One of my favorite players growing up. I became a Rangers fan when one of my former players was traded to Texas a couple of years ago. Matt Harrison. I was a little down about him not being on the post season roster but maybe next year. And of course I watched Josh play in HS several times. I hope they can make it to the WS and meet up with the Phillies. That would be a great match up imo.

GO RANGERS!!!!!!!

And Tampa Bay players.

Heard Joe Maddon was taking a copy of game 5 to spring training next year. They have to watch this game every morning before PFP.

Our Rangers, which art in Texas, baseball be thy game. Thy will be done, the playoffs won in the field as well as in the bullpen. Give us this day our bat and glove and forgive us for our errors, as we forgive those who homer against us. Lead us not into defeat, but beat the Yankees, in the name of the Rangers, the fans, and the game of baseball. Amen.

Nice cheapseats. Who would have ever thought we would be saying, Jerry Jones, take a look at the Texas Rangers front office and coaching staff to see how it's done. Daniels/Ryan/Washington could certainly teach them a few things...and Greenburg is a great example of what Jones should do, shut up, butt out, and let the baseball guys do their thing.
What a great feeling!!!

Could there be anything more ironic than Arod being the last out? The thing that stood in the Rangers way (financially speaking of course)for all those years was the one that stood between the Rangers and the World Series.

This may make little or no sense because I have had a few cold ones, but this is pure GREATNESS!!!!
