Congrats to the following players on making the Rawlings Preseason All High School Senior North East Region Honorable Mention list:

Jordan Bean - St Thomas Aquinas

Terry Dugdale - Soughegan High

Jake Mellin - Nashua North

List can be found on Perfect Game website.

(I think the entire state of NJ made one of the teams(1st 2nd HM)...lol.)

With Gloucester Catholic in the south and Don Bosco in the north, both ranked nationally in the top 10 on the HS level, NJ is absolutely loaded this year.

all three are very good players from my experience all a coach has to do is nominate them to rawlings and they make the Rawlings list. I have seen kids from years past that have no buisess on that list.

You are mistaken. There is no nomination involved. You can check out previous years lists for accuracy. Sometimes it's easier to to check accuracy when you can see what has happened after the list was made.

Absolutely! There are many examples over the years. But do keep in mind that over 85% of every player drafted last year did attend a PG event. So it stands to reason that the list will be dominated by those type players.

looking at pg;s list. it is a very big honor for a northerner to make it. we don't get to many.

congratulations to the three young men, a very good showing.

None of the three players paid a penny (directly) to attend a PG Event. All three played on teams that at some point attended a PG tournament which got them into the PG database. None of them attended a showcase which is pay to play.

So yes you don't need to spend a good amount of money attending a PG Showcase to make the list.....

Read the whole thread....was just pointing out to a previous poster that none of the boys on the list from NH actually went to a showcase and made the list.

I have no issue with paying for a showcase...

I know this is an old thread, but I hve a new question. I was trying to search to find out more about Rawlings Pre-Season. How is this list developed, and (dumb question I am sure, but I have lots of dumb questions!) is there a 'post -season' listing also, after varsity season is over?
