2013 just forwarded a newly published showcase video to all the coaches on his list where the school/program seems to be a good fit.

A DIII coach who reached out to him after an earlier showcase responded immediately to this video link. Said he thought his baseball future looks bright, looks forward to following his high school career, and please stay in touch.

Obviously this coach can contact him because it's a DIII school, but it was kind of exciting to actually get the impression that someone is paying attention. With the DI's we don't really know . . . other than they have not been in touch with his new travel coach yet.

Was this likely just a polite note to say he got the link, or should we believe that he might have some genuine interest in our kid?

Its likely genuine.

Being a 2013, I urge you to not get too tied up in who is watching and who is not, who is interested and who is not. You will know when that rumble happens for real. Do your best to enjoy your son's HS and summer seasons without thinking too much about these things.

Plenty of time for that coming up.

Good luck! Wink
I disagree, i think you should be putting out the word on your kid. It's NEVER too early as I found out. You see, we waited until it was too late and only DIII's knew who he was. It wasn't until I got rude to a coach to get my sons foot in the door that they gave us a tryout and .....wouldn't ya know,,,he was in like Flynn and not at a DIII!! You REALLY NEED TO PROMOTE YOUR KID,,,his abilities will do most of the talking BUT, and this is a BIG BUT,,,, how can his skills do the talking if your not doing the "talking"?? Can't happen....you need to get the 2013 Jet fueled up and out on the tarmac, and DO IT SOON!!!!
