While I am not a particularly big fan of cheering single game performances on the HSBBW, I am a huge fan of recognizing consistent play at the highest level.
Over the past few weeks, Evan Jones, ILVBB's son, blew by our son on the Trinity University RBI career list and last night tied the career mark of 183 RBI's. With 4 regular season and additional post season games, Evan will soon become the all time RBI leader at Trinity. He is also likely to set the career doubles record.
Evan Jones is having one of the great seasons at any level of college baseball in nearly every offensive category. The level of his performance and the consistency of his performance this season is just off the charts.
These are efforts that deserve some recognition.

Thanks for the kind comments; the best part of baseball is how fast reality can hit. Evan had about as good a two week stretch that one can have. BAM; then reality, 0-4.

I know that he has learned that you take the good with the bad; and if you keep trying you will get another day. It is a humbling game; which I hope and believe will shape him for whatever he tackles next with his life.

Thanks for the kind words and support.
