So far this fall, I've been offered by two D1 schools. I have visited one and am going to the other soon. Both are good schools with good teams. I am not trying to brag myself up at all because this is all leading to my questions. Anyways, there is another school that I am interested in that is not quite as good record-wise as the other two but the academics are top notch. This school has never seen me play but here are my question:

1)If I were to call the coach at this school, is it possible that he would give me more consideration (because of the offers from better teams) then he would if I did not?

2) Would having a video and good references help me with this coach eventhough the early signing period is coming quickly?

Sorry for making this so long and thanks to anyone who can offer advice or an opinion.

If there is a school you are seriously interested in that has not contacted you yet by all means pick up the phone and talk to the coach.

What have you got to lose ????

There could be a million reasons he has not called you - including that he doesn't have a clue who you are.

Call him and express your interest. I don't think I would bring up the other offers right away, unless the conversation moves in that direction.

Your initial goal is to let him know you are interested in HIS program. He isn't going to become interested just because you have other offers. He is going to become interested if there is a spot on his roster that he thinks you can fill.

Once you established that there is mutual interest, there will certainly be a chance to talk about the other offers.
