The first week of July, I received several calls from D1 schools. They called that first week but haven't called since (a couple have). That kind of got me discouraged. What I'd like to know is do they usually call once a week, once a month. If the calling has slacked off, do I assume they're not interested. If they're not interested, why did they call me in the first place?

The question is, What have you done since they've called? Once a school has shown they have interest, the next move is yours! Don't sit around waiting and wondering, pick up the phone and call. Let them know your level of interest and find out how serious they are in recruiting you. There can be many reasons for no calls 1)they are waiting to see which players are really interested, 2) they may be on the road attending showcases/recruiting, 3)they could have filled that position, etc. etc. You'll never really know until you talk with them. We parents do understand that this is not an easy thing for a teenager to do, but you're essentially applying for a job and it takes your initiative to get it done. Good Luck.
