Hey everyone (my first post here)
I go to a small school in southern Indiana and I was wanting to know how I can get noticed by colleges. I have e-mailed college coaches in the past (I am a big autograph collector) and that was my intial reason to e-mail these guys. Then I asked them about recruiting. I was told I can not be "recruited" until I am a sophomore but I have been invited to two baseball camps and they are both my two favorite schools (Kansas and Louisville). I am now trying out some DII schools the same way. I am wanting to now if I just play and my numbers are look good will I get noticed by any colleges without contacting coaches?
Thanks

There are a lot of ways to get noticed, but you want to be time and cost effective as well. Get on Perfect Games radar. Email coaches and ask which showcases/tourneys they will be at, and make sure you are there. Go to Jupiter this year. If you are a very good student, go to a Head First camp. SEARCH THIS BOARD for more tips. If you have your heart set on a particular school, go to their camp, but only if you are sure that is your first choice. Play on a high end travel team that plays the big tourneys nationally. Keep your grades up. This will make you more recruitable by more schools and you may get looked at because with good grades, you can get academic $ as well as baseball $. Be realistic about your ablility on a national level. Good luck to you in your future efforts.
