You are assuming something that is not in evidence. That being, that college coaches use recruiting websites, which I don't believe they do. At least not to discover potential recruits. I'm sure they use them to find out more about a recruit they've heard about or been steered to already, but then, wouldn't all recruiting services be the same at that point?
I agree 100%. The coaches do not use the systems, the prospects do. Whatever system a player utilizes will work if the coach is looking for the traits that the player posesses.

This site supplemented by showcase and summer team exposure is the first step.

Next, I would focus on a site like getmynameout.com, or berecruited.com. These sites offer you a complete e-mail contact system to all colleges in the nation, allowing you to send a link of your player profile along with a video link. It also allows you to easily inform prospective programs you are interested in an opportunity to know what events you will be at.

We actually had a number of opportunities open up that did not previously exist because of these inexpensive and efficient sites.
I also agree with floridafan. These are really systems designed for parents and players. My son used Be Recruited as a site to organize his contacts, obtain information about coaches and schools and to make initial contact with coaches. It was a great bargain given the $65.00 we paid for the upgraded program.

It is one of many things a player has to do to get recruited. No matter how good a player looks on paper or on a web page, coaches still want to actually see them perform, usually more than once.

HSBBW is also an outstanding resource and source of support.
