Mr. Red Murff passed away in Tyler, Texas September 28.

Mr. Murff had a long career in Baseball as a player on the 1957 Milwaukee Braves team that won the World Series, Minor League Manager and a scout for 34 years. He is best remembered for signing Nolan Ryan when no one else thought Nolan was deserving.

Mr. Murff helped many young men both on the field and in their lives. I was one of them and I will always be grateful and thankful I met him.

My great Aunt dated Red on and off for years. I had the previledge of knowing him as a kid and a player. Great man... I will miss him...
