REDBIRD CLASSIC was a success despite the rain on Friday....Alot of shuffling and diamond dry got the entire field their 4 pool games in and an abbreviated FINALS ON SUNDAY
THE SPRINGFIELD STATESMEN Coached by Tony Mattera
and the Midwest Rangers squad coached by Jeff Bolen were CHAMPIONS in 2007.at Weslyean.
Springfield defeated Lake County 9-6 in an exciting championship game at Illinois Wesleyan and the Rangers scout team came from behind to defeat the Indiana Cubs 10-9 for the championship at Illinois State..
Both Championship teams finished with 5-0 records and we look forward to seeing all teams in the 2008 Diamond Sports Promotions Tourney trail..
Look for bigger and better things in 2008 from Diamond Sports Promotions....Schedule will come out in September...
