Im wondering if anyone has some suggestions for schools, and what those schools might look for and how many pitchers similar to me they bring in every year.
i realize im running into a unique situation with my transferring, im graduating from my JUCO this spring with my sophmore eligability in tact and will be transferring to a D1(hopefully) school this fall to begin pitching. I just started pitching over the summer and things are coming along very well, with my arm getting back into shape now i dont know exactly what velo il throw, however my mechanics have been tweaked for the better, im more consistent and my offspeed stuff is coming along. i was cruising 89-91 in the fall prior to mechanical changes, im hoping i can cruise 1-3 mph more with the changes that feel great so far. id like to go to schools ranging from florida, east carolina, alabama, georgia tech, louisville, college of charleston, my sights may be set to high but i figured i could always be a weekday reliever first season. (i just want great coaches, great weather, and hopefully a D1 with funds to run a good program)

thanks for any input

While I could suggest schools, it is you who needs to do your homework. Recruiting is the same, whether out of HS or JUCO, you need to begin a search of schools that will be a good fit for you and your situation then contact those coaches. If you are not playing this spring, that could be a problem, but there are walk on opportunities.
That might include d2 or d3 schools as well.

Best of luck.
well it's gonna be tough to sell yourself with sitting out a year and not even being involved in the program. honestly a lot of coaches will throw up a red flag. the first thing if there is any interest that they will do is contact the coach at your jc to see what the real story is. Your best bet is to get on with a summer team NOW! their rosters are most likely full by now. If you can't get on one now then you'll have to wait until after the season when guys back out cause they threw too much or the draft scoops up guys that had spots. Bottom line is they're gonna want to see you pitch. They can't bring you in to work you out so it would have to be in a summer ball setting. It will also have to be a club that is scrambling to fill their 35 man. Most of the big name clubs that you mentioned will have those filled long ago. And if they don't like Georgia Tech it's cause they don't want to carry that many and aren't taking anymore.
