FM Marcus took Game 1 from Grapevine, 6-4. A great ballgame with the Mustangs up 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th but unable to hold the lead. Game 2 is Friday night at 7:30PM at the Ballpark In Grapevine.
Arlington Martin beat Keller fossil Ridge 9-8. KFR came back from 8-1 until Turner Larkins shut it down.
Turner Larkins gave up a 3-run bomb on the first pitch he threw, I wouldn't call that "shutting it down". But he did end up getting the save.
Rockwall wins over Plano 14-9 in an exciting game 1 that saw both teams come from behind to retake he lead.

Congrats to FM Marcus. They ended Grapevine's season tonight 7-0 to take the series 2-0. Grapevine had a good run but Marcus played 2 good ballgames. Good luck to them the rest of the way.

Plano West sweeps Allen with 1-0 and 5-4 wins. Congrats to Plano West and best of luck moving on next week vs. The Woodlands.

Frenship, enjoy the Cleburne "fans"....the absolute worst I have ever seen. Parents who don't control their kids and noises made throughout the game...including during pitches thrown. Cleburne has decided thet want to male the game about them instead of the players.
Funny how people are complaining about cleburne's fans, but players on opposing teams are asking their student section ( if they have one) to be like cleburne's.

Larkins did get the start but was knocked out of the game in the sixth when he gave up 3-run bomb to Sheldon Neuse which gave FR a 3-2 lead. Arl Martin was able to pick up two runs in the top of 7th to secure the win and move on to the next round.
Anyone know where Marcus and SLC will play. Do you think they will do coin flip for home at home series or play all 3 at a neutral site?

OMG! As a casual observer of the Cleburne vs Byron Nelson Series, the Cleburne fans were awesome! Cheering & yelling & encouraging their team...if making a lot of noise & have a great time at a high school playoff game is a crime, then I guess Cleburne is 'guilty'. They were not rude or vulgar. They had easily twice as many fans there as Nelson had...and this after a tornado ripped their town two days before! I suppose Nelson expects you to behave at a playoff baseball game like you were at a golf tournament. Congrats to Cleburne & Yellow Jacket Nation. They will travel strong to Abilene this week to take on #4 Wollforth Frienship. Should be a great series.
