Hard to believe tjhe last regular season games will be play in the coming week. For some kids their jhigh school baseball careers will be over. For some teams it will be time to pack it all in and start thinking about 2012.
It looks like Godwin, Cosby , and Hanover have their Districts locked up. Dinwiddie vs Matoaca will be to determine the District winner.
I think the no. 2 apot and second regional qualifier has a clear favorite in The Dominion and The Central Districts...In the Capital District and Colonial there will be a dog fight among teams like Atlee/Lee Davis/Tucker/Deep Run and others.
Not that anything cant happen in District Tournaments but it just seems in some it has been the top two then everyone else a distant third or more. In others it has been a fight through fourth place.
Cant wait to see which 8 teams show up at the Diamond on Memorial Day! That tournament will be a great showcase of Central Region Baseball just like it was last year.
