Does KD son hit lead off for the Indians? From what I have seen, if you are going to beat CR you better get after him early. Once he gets into the game an inning or two, he gets very tough. Stafford is just pretty much tough the whole time. I believe I will come out west for this one, weather permitting. KD, please keep us all in the loop if there is a change of plans.
So far he has been hitting leadoff.....but we've had a different lineup for every single district game so far. Coach Stramp is still tinkering with it trying to get something to work.

Only 3 position players have played in the same spot for the 4 games, it really has been an odd start of the season, and I expect him to tinker all the way through.

I don't expect a whole lot of scoring on either side. Too bad, my son could use some help in the stats department about now. Big Grin
Reid and Stafford are the same in many ways as far as pitching, both with above average fastballs, I think Reid's is 4-seam and Stafford is 2-seam, and they both have filthy breaking pitches. I think Stafford has Reid beat on a change-up, anyone who saw him throw to the big lefty for Denton Ryan last year would know, I'm sure KD can vouge. But Reid strikes a lot of people out with that slider. Didn't each of them lose their district games against each other last year??
Just got back from the post office and drove by the field. From the street, it seems the mound and home plate areas were covered. No standing water on the infield dirt and a workforce (aka: baseball class) working feverishly. If I was a betting man, with the wind and a little sun this afternoon, they will probably get the game in tonight.
