Is there a resource or website that lists potential teams with upcoming tryouts in the Houston area? Most of the listings here seem to be for Dallas/North TX.

I know it's primarily HS focused, but go to message boards to post your question. Also, google for specific teams, like Houston Banditos, Houston Heat, Columbia Angels, South Texas Sliders, etc...then there is Premier Baseball & a few other Leagues...

Does anyone know if the Houston Heat still exists? My son played them when we were in Omaha at 12U and they came in a tour bus. Kids thought it was pretty awesome. Had a team logo on the side, which I'm sure was temporary, but it was impressive for 12U kids

Still kicking. Shane Baz, 2017 top draft prospect and TCU commit out of the Heat program. Not quite the size it was a few years ago but definitely a quality org.

Two of them did. But is was a small org by today's standards. Josh Beckett, Matt Carpenter, Brandon Belt, Nathan Eovaldi, others all played there (really played there, not just for a game or two).
Several years before the two coaches went to Marucci, other coaches left and started the Houston Athletics. My son went with the coaches and has played for them for three years now. Both of us very happy with the org and coaches. But it is just a travel team.
