Getting back to the original post......

I have no problem with the top ten. I do think that Manchester will benefit from not being selected as #1, even though they are in my mind. They will have less pressure on them, and that will benefit them after last years collapse.

I can't figure out why so little was written about James River and why a sophomore at Cobsy was mentioned first over two senior D1 signees.

Totally agree with MidloDad that there is a PC about this list, despite having clear front runners in each district. There is a lot of talent out there, it just seems to be spread out more this year than in previous years IMO.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some ball games, and some old friends.

The point is....Congratulations to those guys. Nothing more.

Thought that now that we have blue skies and warm temps that people would be a little more positive on this board. I root for all kids and all schools. I just happen to know some better than others. I was excited to see so many of the guys I've worked with in 1 article. Hope I didn't offend you in any way.

I'll be sure not to give a shout out to the girls when the softball preview comes out. I know I'll have at least 10 more mentioned in there.

On a lighter note, I'm headed to Trinity @ St. C's at 4:30 to see 4 of my kids play. Hope to see lots of friends there. I'm expecting Connor Bradley vs Cambell Henkle (sp) on the hill. 2 future VMI teammates facing off, should be fun.
I am a Central District follower and wonder....does that mean Matoaca will collapse? Just the other day a fellow Central District guy did a Rodney Dangerfield post about how we get no respect and Dominion does.
maybe this is the year we will find out?

Notice they only mention one pitcher in the Manchester preview- they better have more than that if they are #1, even if only in your mind. With one guy you can look impressive in the District and "collapse" in the Region pretty quickly. Remember they got in an 11 inning marathon in their first game last year using up #1 and #2 or #2 and #1- even if they win that game they would have entered second round with no pitching. Based on article they now have same pitching less one guy.

Interesting to see Dinwiddie only beat Monacan yesterday 5-2..... Its early but that was supossed to be one of Central District's top tier teams against Dominion's bottom tier?

I am sure the article is hard to put together- I am also guessing what is written is not necessarily based on what may be said as far as the sophomore being mentioned.

Did anyone get out to see the Manchester game yesterday? From the paper looks like it was a walk over.
Go to that site, click to select your school, choose the Virginia category. Among the schools listed, some districts are listed as well. So you can run the full varsity baseball schedule for, e.g., the Dominion District the same as you would for any one school using that site.

But as noted, I can't find a link for the Central District.

What would really be convenient would be if someone posted a master schedule for the entire Central Region.
