Well I am also a side arm pitcher and I've found that just about any over the top pitch can work just as well for me. I throw a curveball, change up, fastball, forkball, and my own specialty. So go ahead and try everything agree
Usually from what I have seen with sidearm guys is that when they throw a curve it is a side to side pitch that is not very effective. Slider or sinker would be a more effective pitch in my opinion for this arm slot. If you can throw a curve ball sidearm with some sink on it OK. But a breaking pitch that is side to side goes a long way back at you.
