Ripken Experiene tournament in Myrtle beach

We were there in July we stayed at Myrtlewood Villas they were nice. Had a two bedroom with kitchen and washing machines not far from beach and Ripken stadium. Your son might be staying there with his team my did.

Myrtlewood is nice and is preferred housing for Ripken, but it's a drive to get to the beach. You'll be there during high tourist season and with traffic it could take you an hour to get to the beach. There's tons of activities at Myrtle Beach, have a great time and enjoy the beautiful fields at Ripken.

Myrtle Beach,..fun spot but can be chilly in the mornings, even in the summertime on occasions!
Wish I knew more about the tournament to help ya.

If I understand the Ripken website properly it looks like we will be going to the same tournament you are going to. (Big Kahuna?).

What kind of accomaddations you have looked into?

I'm still trying to figure that out. Son and I are the only ones going from our family. I was hoping I might be able to stay with the team since I scorekeep most of the time. Those that are going from our team are going as families. With the prices back there staying by onesself is impractical. Hopefully I'll be able to work something out. "goingyard" on this website lives in Myrtle Beach and is very willing to answer questions.

Hotels/motels in the area are not that expensive---we have stayed in units that were under 80 bucks a nite
