RockIt Sports Baseball 17U & 16U Showcase Try-outs
Wednesday July 29th 7:15-9:15pm at RockIt Sports
Description: The 16U and 17U teams will run from the end of August through October. The teams will be playing in six different events throughout September and October. Practices will be held on Wednesday nights. We are looking for 2016-2019 grads.
Philosophy: Our showcase teams at RockIT Sports are designed to help our players improve to the best of their abilities while showcasing their talents in competitive College Showcase Events across the state of Virginia.
Our Coaches:
Andrew Slater- Coach Slater has been the head Varsity Coach at Collegiate since 2008 after college coaching stops at Auburn, VMI, and Western Kentucky. Coach Slater has been named Conference or State Coach of the year in three of the last four seasons including Prep League and VISAA Division 1 coach of the year in 2015 while leading Collegiate to a 21-4 record as state runners-up. Coach Slater joined the team at RockIT in 2013.
Andy Harrison- Coach Harrison has worked as an assistant coach at Collegiate with Coach Slater since 2009 working primarily with the teams catchers & hitters. He has coached showcase travel ball for the last five years, joining the team at RockIT in 2013.
