There has been a lot of talk about Heath on here but lets not forget about the Yellow Jackets from Rockwall HS. Year in and year out these guys are at the top of the hill. What do people see out of them this spring?

They have lost a lot from last year and I do believe Heath will over power and out pitch them. Look for them to finish 3rd in their district.
Watch out for Corey Mills at Rockwall...... He knows what he is doing with the lumber.

very young...the Heath Hawks will shoulder the load in that district this year

Two other very talented young players For Rockwall are Onam Contreras (outfield)and Spencer Edwards (mif),but I'm not sure about their pitching.They also have a good catcher Preston Bentley.
Didn't Rockwall start three or four freshman last season and have a lot of success? Unless Newman Smith reloaded Rockwall should finish second in this district which would provide a fun first round match-up against either Wakeland or Sherman.
Hey Go Pirates, what no love for Highland Park or JJ Pearce??? HP always reloads and JJP returns their two best pitchers and you automatically assume Rockwall goes number 2 in the district? After Heath, I believe it may well be a four way shoot out equally between HP, JJP, Newman Smith and Rockwall. Just MHO.
I'm very familiar with both programs txdad and most years HP does reload, but their talent level has diminished over the last couple of years and they don't have the pitching that they normally have. As for Pearce, I think their #1 can keep them in most games, but I don't think they can score enough. I think these are the two that will battle it out for the forth spot in 10-4A. JMHO
From what I remember, Pearce returns almost everybody and Sean Spicer can beat you with his bat and/or arm. Newman Smith graduated basically everybody but the SS Mims. HP graduated Bare and a few others but rumor has it that expectations and morale are high with Fred running things now. And Rockwall graduated their 2 horses and will have to get it done with a bunch of young ones. I'll bet Heath runs the table and these other 4 will fight it out for the remaining 3 spots. Will be fun to watch.
Swami, I agree 100% with your assessment about the 4 schools fighting it out for the three remaining playoff spots. I just thought "go pirates" thinks there are only two teams in the district. I agree about Heath but I think it will be a battle for the other three spots. Just my worthless opinion.
Sr Wesley Cox the only returner on the mound will have to carry the staff. JD DeLoach will have to carry the sticks as the only returner with power. Other seniors with power but unproven are Steward and Gonzales. Talent with the sophomores in returners Spencer Edwards the best glove and lighting on the bases. Returner Steve Bean is also a good one with varsity experience. The younger DeLoach (So) also good with the glove - which showed tonight in scrimmage vs Allen but lacks HS xperience. Only the 2 Sr and 2 So with varsity experience.
