For 4 months work? He really should get an agent next time. Eek[/QUOTE]

Dad04, Big Grin forwardroll haha Big Grin

Was probably on the HSBBW site reading the "about the draft" posts and "realized" he didn't need an agent; the Astros management were his friends and just wanted to "share" some of the wealth.
I had the great opportunity of meeting Roger Clemens last summer while his son Koby played for the Greeneville Astros. I must say that Roger was very sociable. He always came out on the concourse in the middle of the 7th inning and signed autographs. If you acknowledged him in passing he would return the courtesy. Many times his whole family was with him. My son sat in the seat right in front of him every game he was there. Roger would do his bullpen work while here, and even throw BP to the younger Astros. He was a great mentor to the guys playing here.
An interesting thing I heard about Clemens not at all sure about the validity of it is that during the steroid testing he was found to have used an illegal substance. Being such an idol for baseball they wanted to keep it quiet so told him to "retire" until his 50 game suspension was up. It supposedly was 50 games until Clemens decided to sign. Just thought a theory.
