bobbytewks-hiting 3 times a week in the cage,50 pushups per night, 50 swings off the tee 2 times per night, sugical tubing exercises.with an MLB mid atlantic scout..i dont roll my hands durring flips but i do durring bp...first i thought that i was casting and not waiting for the ball to come to me.,,,any help???
I'm not sure if you are bat rolling. Does the scout say you are rolling? He has eyes one you and should be able to tell you.

If you are good off the tee and with flips, then it sounds like you are either breaking down mechanically with the increased intensity of BP or your timing is off.

Do you feel like you can get through the ball off the tee and with flips? Next time you hit, be aware of your timing and your grip as either and/or both could be the root cause here.

(Also, make sure you are mixing in some core training. Pick up a med ball and spend some time online or on these forums finding good exercises for hitting.)

Would love to see video if its available.
If you can do video now, it would be better. Video will get you better advice so you don't risk practicing the wrong thing for the next 2 weeks.

(I've been doing video analysis for 4 years and people have always insisted they aren't ready to be filmed because they want to wait until their swing is better. Capture your swing at its worst and work from there!)
You may not even have a wrist roll problem. The groundballs may be the result of not getting your lead arm into a near barred position soon enough. This is a big cause of ground balls.

Once shoulder rotation starts the lead arm should be nearly barred (180 degrees) to 160 degrees of bend in the lead elbow.

Lead elbow flex causes a tremendous amount of ground balls.
a.axum,

This is going to sound dumb but it worked pretty well with younger players. Used to tell the kids that were rolling over early to think of slicing the ball in half with a samurai sword instead of hitting it with a hammer. Yeah, sounds silly but that was the audience at the time and the cue seemed to almost always work. ***Can be a bad cue to use as it could lead to kids opening up early.
It seems an exercise in futility to not grip the bat with the hitting surface in the direction to be hit.

Try swinging the bat with first a forehand tennis grip. Smooth, easy, free range of motion.

Now try swinging the bat with a backhand tennis grip. Again, smooth, easy, free range of motion.

Combine the two and take a few swings.
