Ths was a great game and i probably should have mention this but I thought I had seen it all. With two out in the bottom of the 7th and a runner at third, why would the Rockwall coach bring the OF in as if there was only one out. Puzzling, well the big hit by Loy saved him from a routine fly ball over an OF head.

It's easy to second guess --- but I would have walked Loy to load the bases. Yes, he is a sophomore -- but he hit .429 to lead the Eagles in hitting. B is clutch performer. Was Hamblin on deck?

Newman Smith next for the Eagles? <-- should be another very good series.

But PD, who plays the OF in with two outs? You have to play the odds. I agree with you with first and second open why not load the bases. I don't know if Hamlin was up but he hit a walk off home run in the 3 inning.

I don't know why the OF would have been in except perhaps to entice the hitter to try to hit the ball in the air -- Loy is not that type of hitter. What does a 3rd inning walk off look like?

I think the wind had a little to do with the HR. It was a nice hit, but I don't think it would have gone out had the wind not been blowing quite so hard out to right.

Congratulations to Rowlett. With the hitting these guys have, I see them continuing to make some noise!

Brandon Loy is a stud is all I can say.

Watch out for the Rock next year. We started 5 Jrs. yesterday and have some talent coming on board from the sophomore class, we're gonna be one to reckon with in our new district. Can't wait to see these guys play together this fall and get a preview of next spring. It's gonna be a great 2007.

Got a chance to catch this game yesterday and it was a classic. Both teams underclassmen did very well yesterday, so I think you can expect bright futures for both teams.

Rowlett did a good job of getting timely hits with men in scoring position. Rockwall, had several chances with leadoff doubles but failed to score.

The cupboard is never left bare at either of these schools. The programs keep them in the hunt each year.

Rockwall girls won 5-0 last night. On to face the #2 team in the state and #4 team in the country next week. We'll be ready I can assure you. We have a great group of coaches who know how to handle girls. And they are 4 guys!!! I guess they learned that from their wives. Wish us luck, we're gonna need it!
