Question?? If a player is a big power hitter, and has great defense, but is a little slow on running...how will that hurt him being looked at by scouts? He has been told that is what holding him back. He is working to get faster, but is running so important that a players stronger abilities would be overlooked? This is what we are being told.
Thanks for any input.

nobraggers --- tough to say without knowing how big a power hitter. I can tell you this though -- D1 schools will not look at a MIF or CF if they are north of 7.0. If you are a corner guy or a catcher, you might be able to get away with 7.5 if you have plus power and a great net. That being said, there are always exceptions to the rules.
