Russell County win streak ends at 36

Russell County lost their first game of the year yesterday in the 5A semi-finals in Alabama. Stanhope Elmore beat them 5-0 in game one, but Russell County bounced back in game two to win 6-2 to even the series. Kasey Kiker lost his first game also pitching all 7 innings for RC. Stanhope Elmore's winning pitcher was Joseph Sanders.

Two Auburn signees go head to head today in Game 3: Ryan Jenkins (Stanhope Elmore) against Colby Rasmus (Russell County). The winner will play Pinson Valley in the finals next weekend.

Russell County rebounded to win the series Saturday and move on the the state finals this week.

RGB,
I believe there are only two players on the team that played on that team: Colby Rasmus (Sr.), Corey Rasmus (Jr.). The rest are scattered through several schools. Several have signed D1 scholarships and continue to lead their peers in competition.
