Yes. Coach Hill and his staff are highly respected in the Big East. The program has had a great showing in recent years in record and big wins, over Notre Dame last year for one. Quite a few players drafted in recent years also.
Jeff Frazier is probably the biggest news right now - All American, Baseball America - looks to be a top draft pick, as does brother Todd a senior who signed early with Rutgers. (Older brother, Charlie signed out of hs with the FL Marlins)

The players, at least the ones that I know, are extremely happy at the school and with the baseball program. They are primarily from the area and like the Big East Conference and love the spring schedule in the south (mostly Florida) Two or three of them had good offers in other areas in the US but wanted to stay close the home. If you look at the roster on rutgers.edu you will notice most are from the northeast and NJ in particular.

I also happen to think they are a highly talented group of players. There is alot of depth and the offense has been their strength and looks to continue.
I'm a Rutgers alum ('83). My kid ('09 HS grad) would love to go there and play baseball. I know its a long way off, but that's the plan. Coach Hill has been there a long time, and from I understand, is very well respected.
Not that I've helped you at all with your question, but once I saw Rutgers, I had to chime in.
good luck!!
