San Antonio Reagan, having lost 4 starters from last year -- especially ace LHP Casey Selsor -- has had a rough start this year. As of Thursday, it had lost more games in the first eight match-ups of the season than it did in all of its regular 32-game season last year.

However, the Rattlers did well this week. In the Boerne tournament, after shutting out Burbank H.S. 9-0 and losing to Boerne Champion 5-2, Reagan roared back with a vengeance. It defeated Killeen Ellison 16-1 and then beat Corpus Christi Calallen 3-2, avenging one of its two regular-season losses last year. Freshman Bryce Dorn went the distance in his first varsity start for Reagan, allowing only one unearned run, three hits, two walks, and seven strikeouts. With Boerne Champion's pitching staff depleted, Reagan made short work in the championship game, defeating Boerne 20-9.

Reagan, now 8-3, will begin district play this week.

Infield,
I know you don't have a dog in that fight, so thanks for the great updates. There is no doubt the South is loaded with great talent.

Looks like DBU is doing well, also! Paw-fect's son has inked with DBU. He's an '09 from Colleyville. One of the best around! DBU got a gem!!!!!

Enjoy the ride, and thanks again for the updates!
Collikar, thanks for the info about PAW-FECT. Did not know that! I have sent her a PM.

Yep, no more high school ball for our family. Sure do miss it. I will say, however, that it's awfully nice to attend Reagan games this year and just take it all in, not having to worry about how my son is doing in the field or at the plate!

Enjoy your son's last year of high school baseball. Senior year is really special!
