My son (2018) received a letter informing him of a nomination for SACSN All Area Honors.  I have actually never heard of this before and a general search only revealed the organizations' own information.  I was wondering if anyone has experience with this?  Seems like an upstanding effort, but I have never heard about it before.  Any insights/experiences would be appreciated.  Is it more of a mass mailing, or is there actually a selection process involved?  The letter says it is by nomination only, but unfortunately I have learned to be leery of baseball correspondence that my sons receive.

If you have also not heard of this organization, their letter states, "The objective of the ALL AREA HONORS nomination is to celebrate and recognize outstanding student athletes who are committed to standing out on the field, in the classroom and within the community."

Thanks for any insights you might have.

2018 just went to his first Perfect Game Sunshine Northeast showcase and received this invite a few days later. It seems like a great organization just wondering how common this is. Does every player that goes to a PG event get this invite?  Any others receive this?  I've seen questions on this organization on this site with not much feedback.

Thanks for any info.
