I am wondering about them as well. They contacted my son recently after a Team One showcase. Our summer coach who is a pro scout said that the service was a waste of time and money.

However, he mostly deals with high level recruits. I am not sure if it is a good service for bottom half of D1, D2-3, etc.,. They make a lot of promises though 99% of their kids recruited, 75% scholarshipped. Ultimately, I am in the same boat as you. I'd love to know other folks experiences with them.

I got on the web and looked up SAS web pages from a bunch of students and emailed them directly to ask about their experiences. So far about 5 have responded. Volleyball, basketball, softball. All said SAS drew a solid amount of interest for them. Several were offered several scholarships. In the end two decided to walk on at a different school instead of go with the schools that SAS drew in. However, all were pleased with the service.

They said you do need to have full game videos ready for the coaches and you have to send in game footage to SAS so they can put your video together.

It is pricey, so we are wrestling through whether we should do it or not. Also I couldn't find any baseball players who used the service on line. However, I could only find 10 or 15 Pages.
Not that anyone is following this thread, but we signed on with SAS. My son is a 2010 grad rated as bottom half of Div 1, top half Div 2. (Good luck figuring out what the bottom half of Div 1 is). So far two very solid hits from D2 schools. Both Coaches are checking into my son. Both great schools we never would have thought of on our own. Also getting interest from a few D1's and some D3's. Strangely no contact at all from NAIA schools.

SAS really helps alleviate a lot of the research and leg work. In one email campaign, they hit more colleges that would be a fit for my son than we could've done in 6 months.

Will keep everyone posted.
Just an update on our Student Athlete Showcase experience. So far they've done two emails for us. The first three weeks ago, the second today. 400 schools in our mailout, targeting schools that were a bit of a reach to schools in which my son would be a bit of a reach for them. 25 Schools have responded. Some sent the typical we want your money so come to our camp invites. Some have sent legit, we think we might want to have a look see invites.

Several others have responded with very solid hits. I want to fly you up, or I want to come see you play this fall. All in all 13 schools of various levels are solidly interested. They've done what they promised. It's early in the process. I really wish we had done this when he was a Junior. It would have really drummed up some interest in him going into the summer between Junior and senior year.

What I've personally liked is that they've packaged all the relevant info that a college coach will use to evaluate a player in one spot and target schools who might be academic and athletic fits. So he's got a much wider choice. Play near Boston, in Florida, in California, New Jersey, VA, Missouri, Colorado, etc.,. Play in a D3 that is super strong academically and will help set his future, or a D 2 that is weaker academically but stronger athletically. Take a chance on a low D1, or take a college that will pay most of your way in D2 or D3 because he matches up very well academically and athletically with what that school is looking for.

If nothing else, it has taught him that grades are 80% of this baseball journey. And it's opened the world up to a young man.

Will keep folks updated. . .should anyone ever look at this postSmile Hope this helps.
