Click here < I saw this on in the main site here. It says that you should have a pro scout evaluate you and give you his honest opinion of you. How do you get a scout to do that? Who do you have to call? Where do you have to go to talk to a scout?

CAtcher 41,
Thanks for supplying the link of the advice givenby Bama. I remember going back and reading that over and over when son was younger.

In our case, my son's fall coach's brother was national scouting director for a MLB team, Cardinals. When he met son he told him he was D1 material and possibly pro material. That was later backed up by his ratings with PG and TeamOne.
I am not sure how old you are, but what you need to do is concentrate on being the best player you can be, attend a showcase where scouts will evaluate you. You do not have to go seeking one out on your own, unless someone has other advie here to give ot you. College coaches that come to see you should also give their honest opinions.

Catcher41,

It is not mandatory that you be evaluated by a scout although that certainly does not hurt. You just need to have an honest evaluation of your skills and talents done by someone "outside" of your baseball circle.

If you are HS age then get to an event that has college and pro scouts. I recommend a Perfect Game or Team One event. Both will provide you with an honest opinion and both have plenty of Professional and college scouts.
