Okay so O.U. backed into the tournament and they have to face a possible top 10 in the country team in the first round. It's the end of April and we're still playing ball!!
If any websters are going to be Atlanta this weekend, please stop by our humble announcers perch and say "Hey!". I'll be there all weekend.

voicovr,
Thanks to you and the other volunteers from Oglethorpe at the baseball venue. Certainly could not have asked for more exciting games from the first one to the last. The Oglethorpe team showed they belonged in very tough competition. Winning the SCAC's was a very emotional experience for everyone from Trinity. The players dedicated and willed themselves in memory of Coach Meccage who died during the 2002 NCAA Regional and our All Conference 2nd baseman Chris Ashmos tragically killed in August of 2003 while returning from watching his beloved Cubs. Winning it all with #12 and #41 in their hearts and minds means so very much.
Infielddad,
Congrats to Trinity on winning the SCAC Tourney. Also, congratulations on the phenominal season Jason is having. What has impressed me more than the numbers is the way that he conducts himself on the field. He is one of the nicest players I have played against. He always plays hard and doesn't seem to take anything for granted. It's nice to see great players who are great individuals also. Good luck where ever the regionals may send you guy.
Neil,
Thank you so very much. We received similar comments about Jason's sportsmanship from 3 opposing coaches in Atlanta. As a parent there surely cannot be anything better than hearing from an opponent that your son is a great player but an even better person. Jason said his goal is to dogpile in Wisconsin. Might be a chance. Again, thank you for the very nice words.
You are quite welcome. It was an honor to host such a great tournament! We ae very proud of our boys and the way they played. we just didn't show up with the same intensity for the Southwestern game.
By the way, I hope you enjoyed my p.a. duties. I was dubbed "The Voice of the Stormy Petrels" half way through the season and have enjoyed being in the press box announcing the players and such.
We're looking forward to next year as we return 8 juniors and 5 sophmores. I know my son is already getting his work out plan together.
Congrats to Trinity for taking the big prize. It was a pleasure to watch them work together to get back to the final game after a disappointing loss to Rose Hulman.
I can't say enough about the all fans and how nice they were. We appreciated everyone's support and look forward to next year.
Best of luck to all of the graduating seniors. When you look back over the years, take a minute to think about all of the people that help make your dreams come true. You've been truly blessed to be able to say that you've spent as many years playing baseball as you have. Don't forget, as a wise person once said, "Baseball is not who you are, it's what you do." For some it's time "to do" something else. If you put as much into that as you have baseball, you surely will be successful!!!
