9th Annual Osceola County Independence Weekend Invite

The Central Florida Renegades are proud to announce the dates for their 9th Annual Osceola County Independence Day weeklong event at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, Florida. This year’s 32-team 18-under tournament will run from Wednesday, June 28th through Sunday, July 2nd.

This event starts on June 28th with a recruiting seminar and homerun hitting contest in the main stadium. That evening there will be a coaches meeting that includes pizza and drinks.

The tournament opens on June 29th and runs through July 2nd. There is a guarantee of five games with the possibility of playing eight games to win the championship. We expect to have most of the top Division 1 colleges in the southeast attend this prestigious event. Last year coaches from the ACC, SEC, Big East, Atlantic Sun, Sun Belt, Big South, and Southern Conference were among the attendees. In addition, most of the Florida Division II and Junior College coaches spent time at the event. We had 130 coaches/scouts sign in during the 2004 event.

There are still spots available, as we have increased the number of teams in this event. Please call Central Florida Renegades coach Bob Pincus at 352-365-6130 or 352-396-1108 for information.

The early bird cost for this year’s event is $850. The fee will rise to $900 after January 1.

We will also be doing separate scout books and programs for this tournament to better help the coaches and fans.

Also on the morning of June 28th there will be a separate Scout Day that will be run by professional scouts and evaluators. Participating players will have an opportunity to run the 60-yard dash, take a professional style infield/outfield, hit on the field in front of college and professional scouts, and receive a professional evaluation. There will be an extra individual fee for Scout Day participants ($125 if team is in tournament; $195 if not participating).

Once again we are looking forward to a great event. Please call as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Among the 30 teams expected are the Orlando Scorpions, X-Team, Southwest Florida, Crusader Baseball, Bayside Yankees and East Cobb to name a few.
