i have committed to a d1 school but they are only giving me $1,0000 a semester.is this enough for a school who is d1?

Did you feel the offer was enough at the time you made the committment?

Any offer to a D1 school is a good offer. What is more important is the opportunity because virtually none of the offers will come close to covering the entire cost, even for most of the very best players. There are some exceptions, of course, but not many. Congratulations.

That's an honor considering about 10% of all HS baseball players make it to college ball out of that 10%, 11.1 scholarships available for D-I, and that's if the D-I is fully funded, and most are not.

johnq86, first of all I assume you mean $1,000 not$10,000 as you have posted, correct?
Secondly, there is no way to answer a generic question about how much is enough because
there are no set guidelines for scholarship offers and costs vary greatly from one school
to another. Also, determining yout talent level would be another factor. Your question is
not easily answered by those of us reading this forum, especially not knowing your background, the school you're attending, or your educational desires.
The answer could be both yes and no.

Are you playing in the 2006 season for this school? If you are then I would say they had to dig to find this money for you. If it is for the 2007 season which would mean you can only verbal commit, I would say that the school must be close to home? Best of luck to you!
