Wakeland VS Creekview in a battle for 1st place. Regardless of seeding, the first round between the district 9&10 schools could go any direction. HP and Wakeland may be the #1 seeds but both schools have shown they can be beat. Playing Rockwall or McKinney doesn't put me at ease and if I were HP I definitely wouldn't take Frisco for granted.
Big game between Plano East and Flower Mound for seeding. Right now the two teams each have a 6-5 record with FM having won the first matchup. Winner holds on to 3rd place and loser falls deeper into fourth place setting up must wins in their last two games to stay in playoff contention.

Hebron vs Plano West tonight in a make-up rainout from yesterday.

Hebron has had an amazing year. Impressive what Coach Stone has done, and the kids who have stepped up.

Well-pitched game by Cole Lumpp for Marcus.

Plano East beats Flower Mound 3-2. Flower Mound had their chances but could not capitalize on them. Plano East played and pitched a very good game. 4 FM errors led to the loss.

Double Day, What is the talk at South Lake? What are your thoughts?

Well with 1 district game left 7-5A is still up for grabs. SLC is 12-1 but will finish with a tough game at Guyer. I would imagine the pitching matchup will be Curtiss vs. Rhame, so it should be a great game. Coppell finishes with Keller Central and although Central has been competitive, Coppell is playing very good ball right now. I predict Coppell will get to 12-2 in the district with a win next Friday and SLC will need to win in order to take the district outright.

As for the 1st round matchups, I haven't seen either of the 8-5A teams play in person this year. Since SLC and FMHS were in the same district the previous 2 years, several of the players are familiar with each other. I know several of the FMHS kids can really rake, but don't know much about their pitching, which was very good last year. No matter what, round 1 will be a battle up and down between 7-5A and 8-5A.
