For most today is the final regular season game. Yes, the final game in many cases will determine district champions and playoff seedings...but for some Seniors, this will be the last day they ever play competitive baseball. For those baseball careers that end today...thank you for playing hard, caring about your teamates and coaches, and allowing us to be a part of it. The lessons you learned on the field and through this great game can and will make you a better person, father, employee, etc...and I can only hope that as you start a family yourself one day (way in the future!) you will pass on your passion for baseball to your kids.

I'm a lucky father. My son is a Senior who will get a chance to play in the playoffs, although that can come to an abrupt end as well, and will get a chance to play at a D1 program in college. His baseball journey will continue...but for those moms and dads out there whose journey ends today...here's to you. May all your kids throw no hitters and hit bombs tonight!

Oh, and yes...post your scores when you get a chance!
