I’m struggling with this one. The old 1st and 3rd cut play. Run is held by the first baseman. Pitcher delivers from the stretch. Runner takes off at delivery of the pitch. Catcher receives the ball and throws the ball to SS who never moves towards 2B. The intent is to get the runner at 3rd. If he starts to advance, throw to C or 3B to get the runner. If runner on 3B does not attempt to score, SS eats the ball, next pitch. Stolen base or defensive indifference?
