Scott Boras and The NY Times ? Sounds like a match made in hell.
What is bad about the NY Times? I don't know American media but isn't it considered the most famous newspaper?

Stuff like this...
The NY Times is a bad paper now? Wha?
Honestly, I was more interested in knowing what people thought about Scott Boras advocating for baseball, than about the source.
Scott Boras is only interested in himself. That article is nothing more than a way for him to get his name in circulation while there is no baseball going on. He is a shameless self promoter and (as far as I know) takes a lot from the game without giving much back.
Thanks for posting....nice article. Not a Boras fan, but we all want baseball back.

He definitely doesn't do this for charity but players probably do believe he gives them the best deal or they wouldn't hire him and probably pay him a higher percentage than they would have to with other agents.
I think he is a bit annoying too but the players did lose power to the owners in the last decade and Boras is one of the few guys with the standing to fight back against the owners and get the best contract. Doesn't always work and sometimes he sacrifices a client by waiting too long in order to hold his ground but often it does work.
Of course that comes at a price too and he is part of the scheme that sells young mlb players, amateurs and minor leaguers in order to get something for the veteran players but really that would happen anyway as the owners are the ones in power here and players have to give a lot in order for some to get a good deal.
