Random not random question- in scouting jargon, does the word "canoe" mean anything in regard to a pitcher? Asking for a friend.

Is your friend sure he heard the word correctly?
It was written down, and seen over a shoulder, so no- closest guess that made sense so far , if he did mean "canoe" was that his balance was off as if he was pitching while standing in a canoe? Anyone ever hear anything like that?
Did the notes indicate whether or not there was a paddle? Was the name of a creek mentioned?
The only association I can think of with canoe is tipping. Might be his word for reminder he was tipping his pitches.
