It's interesting to observe the way college scouts conduct themselves.
* Some promise to come to a game, then never show up. Others keep their word and are there when they say they'll be.
* Some rarely respond to emails, if ever. Others respond promptly every time.
* Some seem more interested in visiting with their cronies in the stands than in the game and rarely glance over to the field. Others seem intently interested in the game and take notes on many of the players.
* Some arrive crisply dressed in polo shirts and khakis, despite the wilting heat. On the other hand, one scout I saw this weekend could have passed for a homeless person!
