Series Umpires

They got the Bellhorn HR, and A-Rods Little League "try and slap the ball away" play right.

I think they are to be commended for working as a "team".

Yes they blew a few but then that is the nature of the beast

I think they are doing a super job, working as a team, getting the calls right. I just wish they would bring back the high strike. Use the strike zone in the rule book as it is intended. They do miss some strikes, but they are adamant to not call the high strike.

Me thinks that the umpires in the NY/Boston series receive a grade of C to this point. There have been several missed calls at the plate and in the field!!! To their credit they reversed 2 calls last night, both calls going against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium!!!! That took some big ones!!!! But it also means that they got the call WRONG the first time!!!! I know it is not an easy job, but I think that they can do better. So they get a C!!

I was very dissapointed in the umpire crew at the ALCS. Many, many missed calls.

The plate ump in the fouth game squeezed the plate down to a pie tin. That was very frustrating for pitchers from both teams.

I always hate to observe umpires personal strike zones.

Many on here have admitted to such for a number of factors including height,etc.

It's part of the game.............

But, this past weekend, at a college intrasquad series, college ump for twenty years, had the worst I have ever seen even though consistent.

Only strike called ALL day was over the RH hitter's outside ball width 1/3 of the plate between the the knee and upper thigh. Nothing on the outside black.

Same inside postion to the lefties.

It was interesting to watch as the pitchers tried to adjust to it. It took almost the whole game, but both pitchers finally did, and the hitters, too.

LONG game.

How sad is it that 6 umpires miss two clear calls without meeting first to correct them? Maybe them need to go down to 2 umps like rec league.
