Just thought I wanted to share something with everyone here. I have learned alot from this website and it has been very beneficial thus far. I also wanted everyone here to know that setting short term goals is the way to go. Here is a list of what he has accomplished and some goals heading into the summer.

at 9 yrs old 1st year playing wanted to improve over the winter and make 10 yr old Stars. - made it

at 11/12 yrs old wanted to make stars again. - made it.

Summer of 11 yr old season wanted to give travel ball a try. Excelled at this level after working on his pitching
and hitting. This is when baseball was become pretty serious. At every step he would make sure he wanted to get better. Highlights for me was watching him make a walkoff homerun and pitching a CG no hitter. Also dominating in Steamboat Springs Colorado was something I wil never forget.

Now as a 13 yr old he worked on his throwing and defense. FROSH tryouts were coming up and we printed out the " How to make the High School Team" print up and posted it on his wall. After two months of stressing out and worrying about politics and all the other horror stories from this website all the hard work payed off and he made the FROSH team as an eight grader. Not only did he make the team but he is really doing well with the team and starting every single game.

Currently his next short term goal is to work hard this summer between travel Tourney's and try to make the JV or Varsity TEAM something that may be attainable if he continues to be motivated.

As a side note I am currently enrolled in school to finish my degree. I also got motivated and decided to make a short term goal for myself. **
