He's more of a D3 guy. Throws 78, pinpoint control, good curve, killer change. Will he just be overmatched at the Northeast PG? Love some advice. Thanks in advance.
I would let my son go if I were you as I saw some guys throwing in the upper 70's at the two Perfect Game events we went to in 2008. The main thing is to show off his command and control as well as any secondary pitches he excells at. Maybe he'll be pumped and throw 80ish for the first time also. It's a good overall experience.
Thanks for the advice. We're still noodling it. He just went to his first camp today at Holy Cross. Did solid. Gave up one hit. 2 k's. in two inning. Two walks which he's chalking up to nerves.
I dunno. I'm a lousy baseball dad. I'm just so clueless.
I'm thinking he maybe blows off PG and goes to the Clark camp instead. Everyone says he needs to get exposure, but I just don't know how best to do that with d3 schools.
