Tell them the truth or you're teaching them to lie to avoid a difficult situation. And talk about the differences in the world, the chemicals that predominate now, how to protect themselves (particularly for your daughters, like not leaving their drink unattended), all that was wrong with it then and now. And bring alchohol into the discussion. And how to deal with gatherings that include either, including not letting their friends drive ripped.


Hmmmm....thinking about my younger years (when we had to avoid the herds of wooly mammoths making our way back to the cave). Back then, 'juice' meant booze....
