Bergen Beach Prospects of America based in Brooklyn New York will be hosting a Showcase camp & National Team Tryout in Illinois on Saturday October 28th 2006,
9:00A.M. - 5:00P.M. Oak Brook Park District 31st Jorie Blvd. Camp participants will be evaluated and receive a full day of professional instruction from Bergen Beach staff and a variety of highly respected local coaches and instructors. Participants will also receive information on the recruiting process and other valuable tips. Bergen Beach shares scouting information with professional scouts and college baseball programs. Bergen is a respected Showcase program winning the CABA High School World Series thirteen times. Some camp participants will be chosen to play at the (17U) high school World Series in Euclid Ohio in July 2007. In addition 15 year old participants (limited spots remain) will be eligible to play on the Bergen Beach 16U 2007 CABA World Series National Team which will play next July at host East Cobb facility in Georgia & USA Baseball Junior Olympics.
Bergen will also be selecting players at 16U 2007 for a Midwest Tournament team that will help develop regional talent for the National teams. Don't miss this opportunity! Bergen sponsors camps in a different state every year. (Last year in Texas) Catchers please bring your own equipment. All players should bring their own equipment bats and helmets (wear a baseball uniform if possible. Contact us for a brochure & registration form (Deposit of ($90) must be received by October 18, 2006 to insure a roster spot at the camp) total cost $190 balance of $100 due day of camp. Camp includes: evaluation, seminar/professional instruction at your position, tryout and valuable recruiting information. Past and present coaches include former MLB players Tommy Herr, Bill Singer, Kevin Saucier, Rodney McCray, Dave Stapleton, Frank Semineira in addition to Ed Santa; Area Scouting Supervisor for the Colorado Rockies and Craig Noto Asst. Coach Long Island University. The Bergen organization has had over 300 players drafted by MLB teams.
